Stage 1a

Get your paperwork in order

Every case starts here. Your tenant must have been given all the documents the law requires before your notice can be served. Answer a few simple Yes/No questions and we'll check, and serve any that are missing.

Have these ready

Don't worry if you're missing some. That's what this stage is for.

  • Your tenancy agreement
  • Deposit protection certificate and prescribed information
  • Gas safety record
  • Energy Performance Certificate (EPC)
  • Electrical safety report (EICR)
  • Renters' Rights Act information sheet
  • Any proof you gave these to your tenant

What happens next

  1. You'll see straight away if anything is missing, and the price to fix it.
  2. Within 2 working days, we send you any missing documents to sign on your phone.
  3. Within 2 working days of getting them back, we post them to every tenant and complete the court paperwork showing they were served.
  4. Once every document has been served, we send you your link to Stage 1b to serve your notice.
